WelcomeWe have had a number of talks now as we get further into the year. Check out our speaker's schedule. we have some good talks coming up, which are worth checking out.Farewell for Margaret and Bill On
Saturday 21st May at 3pm we will be holding a farewell afternoon tea
for Margaret and Bill van der Vis as they leave their home of the last
decade or more. We will miss their presence and joyful attitude as they
move on. We hope we will still see them often. Everyone is welcome,
bring some food to share.Speakers last monthAelred repeated his talk in the thread of "Pilgrimages through Unseen Sacred Places" talking about the influence of North American Indians on his life. Tracey Crampton Smith presented many photographs of orbs, many of which she took herself.National President comes to Dunedin again Warwick
Keys, the National
President will speak to us on
Thursday March 19th. His talk is enititled
"Co-creating with the Divine" about the power of united group consciousness
through meditation and
how we can use it as a power for good. It promises to be an inspiring talk that will help us move forward.Library HoursJames comes into our rooms on a Friday, so the library is open from 1.00pm until 5.00pm on Fridays. You will find a committee member at our events, so see them if you want to get a library book while you wait for the event to start.Healing CircleWe held out first Healing Circle this month with a small group. You are welcome to come and join us on the first Monday of each month. We
decided at our committee meeting that we will have a small space to the
side of the room set aside where people can come and reflect. We will
have candles placed to light. You are free to come at any time,
especially before any of our events to use the space.Orewa Property owned by the National OrganisationThe Theosophical Society in New Zealand owns a significant amount of land and property around Auckland and especially in Orewa. Because of the financial pressure they are considering what to do with these assets. If you would like more information or have any views on this, contact Victor.Spiritual HeroesWe have a speaking thread through the year on the theme of "Spiritual Heroes". Jonathon continues the threaed with his story. Various speakers during the year will address this same topic in their own way.APRIL Wed 1st Intuition by Victor MacGill Victor
presented this talk to the national convention in Wellington in January
andnit was well recieved. He looks at Intuition from a scientific,
esoteric, Monty Python approach. He looks at the mainstream view of how
our brain creates mind, then looks at Quantum Mechanics for an
explanation of how we might explain what we observe of our intuitive
