Moving into 2010We are already three months into the year. We have had some great talks by our members, which as usual generate lots of discussion. A highlight of the month was our weekend workshop on IntegralTheosophy.March Workshop - Integral Theosophy![]() We
recently held our Integral Theosophy weekend workshop and it was a
great success. Theosophists from Christchurch, Gore and Dunedin came
together to build regional links and explore our shared spiritual
journey. We made a first step in terms of understanding what
Integral Theosophy might be and how we might be able to use it in our
lives. It emphasised living a well rounded life acknowledging all the
aspects that make us up as human beings. We need to hold fast to the
heritage we have been given as Theosophists, but find a way of
expressing it in a modern context. The theme of creating community was very important in people's mind. You will see
below that we are having a Wednesday evening talk as a discussion on
where we go from here in terms of how we move the ideas discussed
in the workshop forward. We are now planning to run the workshop in
Christchurch and may even take it to the North Island later in the year. National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at Otago UniversityThe Peace Centre at the University of Otago as becoming more and more established. they have a number of interesting public talks, podcasts and publications you may be interested to follow up.Thesophical Study Group
