Yoga
and Meditation
Dada explains Yoga
and Meditation as a means of improving the quality of consciousness.
Consciousness is the ultimate raw material – it is moulded and changed by
everything we experience, which adds up to us in all our thoughts and feelings.
Meditation and Yoga practice ensure that we draw consciousness directly from
the source, like a pure spring, rather than downstream from town. Dada teaches both
chanting and silent meditation. He has produced a CD, Overjoy, that fuses
Celtic music with the Samskrit chant, Baba Nam Kevalam, which means, ‘love is
the essence’ Humanism Dada has published
a book titled ‘Here, Together, Now’, which deals with the psychology and
challenges of humanism in today’s world. The book also uses PR Sarkar’s ideas
on ‘Neo-Humanism’ to look at the economic system, education and community based
solutions. Prout (Progressive Utilisation Theory) Dada first
encountered the Progressive Utilisation Theory of PR Sarkar in 1980. He
subsequently studied it in In Dada currently
manages the Ananda Marga Meditation and Yoga Centre in Grey Lynn, |
