Welcome

Before we knew it we are well into the year. Check out our speaker's schedule. we have some good talks coming up, which are worth checking out.

National President comes to Dunedin

Warwick KeysWarwick Keys, the National President, returns to Dunedin and will be giving a talk in Dunedin on Thursday March 19th. At Christmas he and his partner travelled to Adjar in India for an international meeting of the Theosophical Society. His talk is enititled "Co-creating with the Divine" about the power of united group consciousness through meditation and how we can use it as a power for good.

Library Hours

James comes into our rooms on a Friday, so the library is open from 1.00pm until 5.00pm on Fridays. You will find a committee member at our events, so see them if you want to get a library book while you wait for the event to start.

Meditation and Speakers start at 7.00pm

Please note as we mentioned in the previous newsletter that Monday night meditation and the Wednesday night speakers both now start at 7.00pm, so we finish a little earlier.

Healing Circle

Healing CircleA monthly healing circle will be held on the first Monday of the month at 6.0pm. But, note that for THIS COMING MONTH ONLY , the first healing circle will be on Monday 9th of March   Everyone is welcome. This will of course lead into the meditation group that starts at 7.00pm. You may wish to come for both.

We decided at our committee meeting that we will have a small space to the side of the room set aside where people can come and reflect. We will have candles placed to light. You are free to come at any time, especially before any of our events to use the space.

Farewell for Margaret and  Bill

Margaret and Bill van der Vis will be leaving the building in which we have our rooms at the end of March and so we are having a farewell afternoon tea on Saturday 21st March at 3.00pm. Margaret is a long standing member of the society, who has supported us in so many ways. She has been the driving force behind out meditation group. All welcome, bring some food to share.

Complexity Theory Workshop

Victor MacGill will be offering a free workshop on Complexity Theory to be held over two days on Saturday 21 March from 10.00am until 2.00pm and Sunday 22nd  from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. This is a good chance to get a hands on understanding of this new area of science that is set to have an enormous impact on our world and offers a whole new way of seeing our world.
